包祖仁（张达明饰）是一个坐吃山空的纨绔子弟，偶尔的机会让他被人误认为名状师，凭着小聪明打赢了两场官司，结果弄假成真，被村民奉若神明，欲脱身不能。不得已之下，他只好发愤进行魔鬼训练，终于熬成“民间第一状师”。。Series 3 (2002) The third and final series focused on a different character each week but with the overlaps creating a more complex layering of the plot, more akin to a one-off episode of a situation comedy (albeit with intertwined plots) than a traditional sketch show.
