主角小舞的哥哥阿大是一个有智能障碍的孩子，班上的同学因此拿阿大开起了玩笑。后来母亲因长期操劳住院了，爸爸又必须出外工作，于是小舞便自告奋勇担任照顾阿大的工作，在照顾阿大的过程中，小舞班上的同学也有了更多和阿大互动的机会，并渐渐学习到彼此体谅与关怀。。Joseph, Tinash, Marvlin and Pardon are part of a wave of Zimbabweans who left their economically-hit homeland for a better life elsewhere.
