When Constantine learned of Katherine's whereabouts and imprisonment at the hands of Maxentius, he led his army from York in a desperate bid to save her.。本剧向人们讲述了四个不同时代的女子的爱情及婚姻，反映出爱情、婚姻关系随着时代的变化而变迁的过程。 清朝末年，千金小姐魏瑜凤（佘诗曼 饰）知书识礼，与家中厨师余赐（马德钟 饰）自小青梅竹马一起长大，两人暗生情愫。可惜后来魏家衰落，瑜凤被迫嫁给了太史家的二世祖汪毓麟。毓麟挥霍无度，很快将家业败光。这时余赐已经拜了御厨为师，学习厨艺，他想带着瑜凤离开重新开始。瑜凤不忍看见汪家就此衰落，于是将余赐送给自己的玉筷子卖了，开办了一家小食肆——凤凰楼。后来瑜凤和余赐双双在事故中身亡。凤凰楼见证了两人未结果的爱情。 五四时期，瑜凤的女儿子君（佘诗曼 饰）喜欢上了已经有了未婚妻的青年教师李吉祥（马德钟 饰）。子君不想像母亲那样只留一段未结果的爱情就过世，于是一直在向吉祥表白自己的心迹。吉祥终于被打动了，两人一起私奔到了天津。可惜，随后两人分手了，吉祥投身革命，而子君则回家打理凤凰楼。最后，两人发现仍深爱对方，可惜吉祥不得不再次离开革命，留下了子君母女。 ……。
