水树晃一（伊东健人配音）是公认的大高个，180cm的身高让他无论身处何地都是最显眼的那一个。一次偶然之中，晃一竟然被名为凯乌斯（小野友树配音）的男子召唤到了巨人国之中，身高250cm的凯乌斯一见到晃一就发出暴言，希望晃一能够成为他的新娘，并且为他繁衍子嗣。就这样，晃一在巨人国里开始了他的新生活。 美蒂娜（藤本教子配音）是凯乌斯原定的未婚妻，哪知道被半路杀出的晃一给抢了王后的位置，因此对晃一总是充满了敌意。巨人国并未一直处于和平状态，隔壁兽人国的巴罗（中泽匡智配音）和贝利（白井悠介配音）一直虎视眈眈。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
